Witches and Vampires

What a fun Halloween! We got up early this morning so we could eat breakfast and get the girls in costume in time to be at the mall by 9am for trick or treating.

Abigail was kind of shy about going into businesses to trick or treat.


The little ones were not!

She did manage to get a few pieces of candy though :)


After trick or treating at the mall we ran home for an early lunch...then it was back to the mall for a free showing of Monsters vs Aliens. Very cute movie btw.

The reason for the a.m. trick or treating was the rainy forecast. Come 5:00pm (the beginning hour for trick or treating in Enterprise) it wasn't raining. So...off we went again!

Wooo Hooo! Let's go that way!!!


Much more "scary" going door to door. (this kid was so nice to the girls)


Nothing phased them. They were on a mission!


45 minutes later with buckets full of candy (for the second time today) the girls were done.

Halloween Party - Take II

OK, after getting all sugared up at EG's party we packed up and headed to Abigail's classroom. Miss Allison and I baked chocolate cupcakes and brought whipped topping, m&m's, and sprinkles for the kids to decorate them with. To add a bit more sugar to the mix we brought a gallon of apple cider to wash it down with.

We planned ahead and made individual cups for each child.


Then we carted everything to the classroom.


We got everything all passed out and the decorating began.

Halloween Party - Take I

EG got to dress up in a costume for school today. She was really excited.

She borrowed this one from her sisters stash of past costumes.


This is her big sister wearing the same costume Halloween 2005.

She was happy to see me when I showed up for the party. She's blowing me a kiss :)


They sang us a song.


This is the first time little Wesley smiled when I pointed a camera at him.


Then he quickly put on his mask.

I really wanted to get a nice picture of EG with Mrs Pokyon. Balloon strings got in the way here...


And Mr Thomas got in the way here :P

Double Digits

Abigail entered into the world of double digits today. What a great day!

She got to open a couple of her gifts before school.


EG and I watched.


We got really lucky with the weather today. It rained, and rained, and rained, and as a result Daddy got to come home early.

He made milkshakes to go with the cake :)


Abigail came to me last week with a drawing of what she wanted her cake to look like. Complete with a grocery list.

Each of us pitched in and this is what we ended up with.


And it was GOOD!
